Species: FLUORITE Locality: Streeter Hill Fluorite Prospect, Chesterfield, NH Specimen Size: 2.5 cm milky, stained, fluorite cleavage Field Collected: Tom Mortimer - 2006 Catalog No.: Secondary collection Notes: The Streeter Hill prospect is a Morrill locality, listed in slashes under Westmoreland. It is actually in north-western Chesterfield. On two visits, only milky fluorite cleavages, such as this one, were found. Clusters of clear, needle-like, "solution quartz" and micro crystals of barite provide better specimens for collectors at this locality. |

Species: FLUORITE Locality: Stoddard Mine, Westmoreland, NH Specimen Size: 13 cm specimen with pale green fluorite octahedrons to 2 cm Field Collected: Don Swenson Catalog No.: A Don Swenson specimen Notes: This is a most remarkable Stoddard Mine specimen. Without confirmation from long-time collecting friend Don Swenson, I would naturally think this piece was from the nearby Wise Mine, a locality long known for its world class green fluorite specimens. This fluorite has a pale blue fluorescence, more prominent with long wave UV. |
